The Forty Fort Police Department strives to deliver that “small town” feeling of knowing your police officers while providing progressive and professional police service to the community.
We are dedicated to engaging our community at all levels and maintaining the trust given to us by you.
The officers of the Forty Fort Police Department are men of integrity, character and courage. We are committed to providing a high level of professional and courteous service to our community. Our officers understand that to be successful, we must work closely with community stakeholders in our efforts to strengthen trust and reduce crime. Our Department also constantly works to improve efficiencies through the use of technology and innovation in order to provide vital core services in a timely and professional manner. Some of our recent innovations include the use of social media (Facebook and Twitter)

On Sunday, October 27, 2013, Forty Fort Police Officer Michael Haley responded to a report of a man with a gun threatening to kill his daughter and himself. When officers arrived on scene, they found 1 year old Camryn Lee Shultz and her father had been shot. Camryn was pronounced dead at the scene. Camryn would have celebrated her 2nd birthday on October 29th. Our thoughts and prayors will forever be with her family and friends.
On Friday, December 19th at 3:00 pm, a ceremony was held at the intersection of Wyoming Avenue and the Access Road to the Luzerne County Recreation Fields to rename the road Camryn Way in memory of Camryn Shultz. Camryn can now smile down from Heaven on all of the small children who visit this area.
