The Mayor is elected at large to a four-year term and is primarily responsible for the public safety of the community. The responsibilities include oversight of the police department and review of ordinances enacted by the Borough Council. The office of Mayor is authorized to administer oaths and perform wedding ceremonies. In addition, the role of the Mayor is to serve as spokesperson for the community and to represent the Borough at various civic and social activities.
Mayor Mary Ann Bottaro was elected as the Forty Fort Mayor in November of 2025 to serve a four (4) year term effective January 2026.
