Betty Mascelli Park

Located off Shook Place in Forty Fort Borough…

The Forty Fort Park is a long-standing staple in the borough and on November 24,2014 it received a new name: Betty Mascelli Park.  Betty Mascelli’s role of “getting things done” in Forty Fort dates back to 1962, and she has served as a councilwoman for 25-plus years.

The presentation of the name change, along with a sign stating the park’s fresh title, built by Chris Ercolani as his Eagle Scout project, was kept a secret until Mascelli arrived at the park that Sunday afternoon.

NEW PAVILION

Several grants from area foundations funded the construction of a wonderful new pavilion for the park.

The pavilion, a 20-foot-by-60-foot structure, is nearly complete. The bulk of the project was completed in about three or four days.

Spearheaded by the Kingston Rotary Club, much of the labor was done by volunteers and local businesses, including Edwards Landscaping and Dadurka Concrete.
